About Me

Teresa K. Traverse is a Phoenix, Arizona-based writer and editor who specializes in lifestyle content including food, travel, spas, pets, design, fashion, health and fitness and whatever else piques her interest. Hello! I'm the managing editor of Sedona Monthly magazine--a regional publication based in Northern Arizona. In this role, I write the majority of the stories in the publication, edit work from contributors and manage the magazine. In the first half of 2022, I served as the interim editor for the regional luxury lifestyle magazine So Scottsdale. In this role, I assigned stories, edited copy from many different writers, worked with photographers and managed this 100-plus page print monthly publication.

My freelance writing work has appeared in a bevy of publications. You can read me nationally in print in Parenting, Bust, Dogster, Doggie Aficionado and Weight Watchers magazines and online in SFGate, Brides, Rachael Ray, Oxygen, USA Today, Fast Company, Refinery29, The Daily Meal, PetMD, Pawculture, Lonely Planet, Chewy, Subaru's Drive, the American Kennel Club, Rover and Racked. Regionally, I've been published in print in Modern Luxury Scottsdale, Phoenix, Northern Virginia, Where Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona Luxe Interiors and Design, Phoenix Home & Garden and Atlanta-based Flavors magazines and online in the Copper Courier, Phoenix New Times and the Arizona Daily Sun. I've also created and edited branded content for companies including Marriott, Citibank, Mattress Firm, kitchen supplies company OXO, Sleep Number, software company Knock, mall company Macerich, Masthead Media, Contently and CVS. If you have any writing or editing needs, feel free to reach me at teresaktraverse@gmail.com. I'm open to discussions.

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, yoga, Pilates and playing with my two long-haired Chihuahuas, Autumn and Rocket. I'm always searching for a perfect meal and researching my next dream destination. I'm also a self-proclaimed cupcake aficionado (Georgetown Cupcake for me, please) and activewear enthusiast--from lululemon and Athleta to Alala, I'll never have enough.
